32nd IUGG Conference on Mathematical Geophysics

Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, June 23-28, 2018

The 32nd IUGG Conference on Mathematical Geophysics (CMG) will be held during June 23-28, 2018. The conference will take place on a boat that cruises the Volga River with daily stops at historic sites. The boat has been used for many highly successful conferences before (see recent examples at The boat will depart and return to the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The CMG meeting covers a wide range of current research topics in mathematical geophysics. The conference aims to discuss key theoretical and observational aspects of solid earth, ocean, atmosphere, cryosphere, climate and other contemporary topics.

Reduced conference fees for students and PhD students are provided.

Dear participants of the CMG 2018!

Please keep in mind the following imformation about the transfer to the boat which we organize.

Everyone who provided information about the arrival date and time will be met by the members of organizing committee. In the airport of Nizhny Novgorod the place of meeting is right after the baggage-pick zone. On the railway station the place of meeting is in the middle of the main hall. You will recognize the members of the organizing committee by posters (tablets) with the conference emblem.

Additionally, we organize a shuttle-bus from the Institute of Applied Physics (46 Ulyanov Street) to the boat at 20:00 of June 22.

The boat «Nizhny Novgorod» will be at Pier 14 (near the «Geroy boat» monument). The embarkment will take place from 19:00 of June 22 to 9:00 of June 23. Your cabin will become available for check-in at midnight. The boat departs at 9:00, so please do not be late.
